Just wanted to take a second to share a couple things with you all…

Project Run and Play

First, Skirting the Issue…this is an event hosted by the lovely ladies over at Simple Simon & Company.  They are encouraging us to make and donate nice, handmade skirts to girls in foster care system.  I just love this idea and I am totally going to participate.  Although, because of my sewing embargo I can’t get started for a couple weeks.  But you can!  Jump on over to Simple Simon & Company or Project Run & Play for more information and guest tutorials all through the month of July.  You can donate to your local foster system or you can send to their contacts in Utah.  As for me, I will be sewing skirts for the two children’s homes my church supports.  I’m trying to rope in a few of my local sewing friends to make skirts too. I’ll be posting more about Skirting the Issue after VBS and my embargo is over.

And do you see those little tabs way up there above my header image?  Way, way up there.  There is a new tab called My To-Do List.  I’ve decided to let you all in on what I hope to get done between now and the end of the year.  As I complete things I’ll link to their blog post.  Some of them are direct inspirations from other folks (and I’ve linked to my inspiration there already) and some are ideas completely in my head.   I like lists and this will help keep me accountable, so maybe I can get it all done!  Also, I need to stay on task…I always get distracted by some new, awesome thing I’ve pinned.  But I have to say NO!  I already have too much that I want to accomplish!
